What are Wood Veneers?
Wood veneers in the simplest of terms are thin slices of natural wood generally less than 1/40” thick. These veneers are typically pressed onto or laminated to thicker core materials such as plywood, particle board and MDF to create structural panels to be used in place of thicker hardwood lumber. This is still real wood but machinery and technology allow the material to be sliced thin without waste instead of sawing it into thick boards

Edge Banding Process
Wood veneer edge banding is the perfect finishing touch to veneered edges and panels. Made from real wood, the sheets are expertly joined to create a continuous roll of ready to use trim. We stock a number of popular species, and can special order any exotic species available on the market.
Edge banding comes in two backers. The iron-on, or pre-glued option includes a hot melt adhesive clipped from Flitch edging as well for easy ironing on to any surface. Fleeceback requires an edge banding machine for the application of adhesive. Veneers+ has multiple edge banding machines in house, so we can process orders without any down time.
Our edge banding process is ideal for cabinetry in multi-family dwellings. We can cut the TFL product to size, apply an edge band, and tailor it to your specifications.
